Wicked recently celebrated its one-year anniversary at the Orpheum Theatre in the show's open-ended engagement. We checked in with author Gregory Maguire whose best-selling novel, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" was the inspiration for the blockbuster musical.

The new production of Dreamgirls, the Tony Award-winning musical, will play the Curran Theatre this summer as the final production of the 2009-2010 Citibank Best of Broadway series.

 


Spectacular new staging of J M Barrie's Peter Pan

In April San Francisco will host the U.S. premiere of a spectacular new staging of Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie’s classic story. Conceived by an award winning creative team and featuring 22 actors, stunning puppets, epic music, dazzling flying sequences and the world’s first 360-degree CGI theater set, Peter Pan is an extraordinary experience.

One of the most striking elements of this new production is the setting in which it is presented, The threesixty° Theater. The show is performed “in the round” in a 1350 seat theater-tent, which will stand 100 ft hight in Ferry Park on the Embarcadero opposite The Ferry Building.
