Getting There

From the North Bay (Golden Gate Bridge) Take 101 South across the Golden Gate Bridge. Stay on 101 South along Lombard Street to Van Ness Avenue, turn right. At Golden Gate Avenue, turn left and follow it to the corner of Taylor and Market. Stay in the far left lane to turn onto Taylor (otherwise you’ll go South of Market). The theatre is on the corner of Golden Gate and Taylor. From the East Bay (Bay Bridge) Stay to the left and take the 5th Street/101 North exit. At the exit ramp, veer left onto Harrison and go west one block to 6th Street, turn right. Stay on 6th Street for several blocks to Market Street where it becomes Taylor. The theatre is where Taylor and Golden Gate Avenue meet 6th and Market. From the South Bay Take 101 North or 280 North. If on 101 North, take the 280 North exit. Exit at 6th Street and take 6th to Market Street, where it becomes Taylor. The theatre is where Taylor and Golden Gate Avenue meet 6th and Market. From BART or MUNI Exit at the Powell Street station and come up at the Cable Car turnaround (Powell Street). Walk west on Market Street (away from the Ferry Building) two blocks to 6th, Taylor and Market. The Golden Gate Theatre is at the junction of Golden Gate and Taylor at 6th and Market.
Parking
Street parking is extremely limited; meters run M-Sat until 6.pm. There are pay lots around the square block bordered by Taylor, Turk, Jones and Golden Gate Avenue. We recommend parking in attended lots: Central Parking at Golden Gate and Jones—the closest lot to the theatre, and 5th and Mission Garage.
